those tax rebates
10 things to do with the tax rebate
i think this is important. i really think this gift many of us are given shouldnt be spent frivolously. think about all those times we said that if americans gave some tiny percent of their checks to aid those in poverty we could do it easily. this is a gift and something smart needs to be done with it. read that over. i know some arent selfless, but many of them are.
just little challenges for you.

do you not understand what 'economic stimulus' means or is intended to do.
these are good alternatives.
also, economic stimulius will be hard for US citizens when many of our purchases (assuming many people spend this on 1 item, 1 mp3 player or 1 stereo or anything "big") will be from a company from overseas.
i could be wrong though
I was looking at this today

Now all I have to do is do my taxes. :P
economic stimulus didn't work with reagan and i'm pretty sure its not going to work this time. Plus, there really aren't constraints on the money, and since this stimulus favors those with privilege, what a lovely message to send out that we are distributing it and not spending it on ourselves. that being said, I'll try to donate a part of what i get back, but I do have student debt. I'm a flawed idealist.
Leave it to Morgan to threaten us with impending doom (and for me to expound upon it): $600 ISN'T GONNA SAVE YOUR ASS FROM THE ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE !! Use it to get a gym membership and train to run from zombies, shoot a gun, and remain calm all at once.
Those are all decent suggestions because, even though a lot of options are not going directly back into the economy via the consumer/supplier route, if you pay off your debt it will make you more likely to spend more money in the future. Confident consumers ? Economy = stimulated. I will probably use mine to start an emergency fund, since mine disappeared when it became my dad's emergency fund, too.
Apparently I won't get my refund until June. You can check on yours here: http://www.irs.gov/newsroom/article/0,,id=181991,00.html
