world cup football

im not entertained any more.
there needs to be a team from asia.
there needs to be a team from africa.
there needs to be underdogs to root for.
saying youre going for brazil is equal to rooting for an american to become our president.

Europe and South America dominate, true. You at least have an underdog - the Ukraine. Keep watching. Surely it must be refreshing for Americans to watch a World Championship of a sport where the whole world does actually take part? :-)

i can't say i'm a particular country fan, but in the UEFA cup, it's FC Barcelona all the way. we were in munich watching the FCB v Arsenal championship game. that was great.

germany and argentina should be a good one.

The machine like efficiency of the Germans versus the flair and enormous hair of the Argies, tremendous.
Brazil, complete with the World Cup's greatest forward unable to touch his toes (Ronaldo), versus the geriatrics of France.
The alternately stern and hysterical Italian catennacio experts (look it up) versus the Shevchenko-led underdogs Ukraine.
Perennial losers and media whipping boys England versus... well, Portugal (Figo is nearly as fat as Ronaldo).
How can you not love it? All of it. OK, the Americans aren't there now. But if you want to watch the best football....

germany and argentina was an amazing game... too bad i'm at work. we broke into the gym next door and watched the penalty kicks on a tiny tv. super fun!
